The purpose of the "Fun Stuff" Newsletter is twofold: First of all, it's a great way of keeping the English-speaking community in Moscow informed of upcoming, interesting, family friendly events. Secondly, "Fun Stuff" allows anyone who has information to share to get the word out to as many people as possible. The "Fun Stuff" Newsletter is sent out to our mailing list about once every two weeks. The newsletter comes in the form of a word file attachment, which does not contain any pictures or logos. As the files are usually about 0.5 MB in size, hotmail is not suitable for Fun Stuff subscriptions.

Fun Stuff News contains information on:

1. Community News (e.g. Embassy news, religious services for all faiths, etc.)
2. International Women's Clubs/Social Clubs - Meetings & Contact Information (AWO, Canadian Social Club, International Women's Club, Moskva Acceuil, British Women's Cub, Australian & New Zealand Women's Club, Dutch Tulips, African Women in Moscow etc.)
3. Children (kindergartens, pre-schools, summer camps, activities, friends wanted, etc.)
4. Health & Beauty (medical & dental clinic news & specials, vaccination reminders, beauty salon offers, etc.)
5. Travel Specials (plane tickets, visas, vacation packages, etc.)
6. Hotels, Restaurants & Food News
7. Upcoming Events (art & souvenir exhibitions/sales, concerts, food festivals, galas, balls, fundraisers, etc.)
8. Charity (events, wanted items, volunteer information, Christmas card sales, etc.)
9. Pets (dogs, cats and other animals in need of new homes, pet travel information, etc.)
10. Jobs (offered & wanted)
11. Household Help (available & wanted; incl. drivers, cleaning ladies, nannies & babysitters, pet sitters, language & music teachers, etc.)
12. Items for Sale & Wanted Items
13. Apartments & Dachas (available & wanted)
14. Sports
15. Information Wanted
16. Anything else that is of interest to the community.

"Fun Stuff" is NOT a commercial newsletter - we do not charge anyone for submitting/distributing information, or for receiving it. We do, however, reserve the right to not publish information which we think is not family friendly and/or of no interest to the readers of the newsletter or which is purely commercial. Contributions might be edited before being included into the newsletter.

If you would like to sign up for this free e-mail newsletter, please send an e-mail to Barbara.Spier@alliedpickfords.ru and put "Subscribe Fun Stuff" into the subject line. Please submit your first and last name and your home, mobile and/or office phone number(s).

Note to Hotmail users: Hotmail is not suitable for Fun Stuff. The reasons are that the files with the newsletters are too large for regular (free) hotmail accounts. Unless you have a paid hotmail account with an extended inbox, you will most likely not be able to receive the newsletter. Yahoo, on the other hand, works perfectly well, as do the majority of other international and Russian e-mail providers.
